PMA hosts annual ‘Suite Soirée’ on September 23

On Thursday, Sept. 23, the Pensacola Museum of Art (PMA) will once again present the highly anticipated event "Suite Soirée", a culinary evening benefiting the artistic, educational and outreach programming of the Museum.

The event will highlight the skills of five local celebrity chefs with each course complemented by a special wine selection.

This year's event will once again be hosted in the Thornton and Kugelman Family Galleries in conjunction with the exhibition Quilt Art: International Expressions, an exhibition of 22 contemporary quilt artists from nine countries.

The event serves as one of the major sources of fundraising for the PMA, the only accredited visual arts museum from Mobile to Tallahassee. As the original food and wine celebrity chef event in our area, last year's event was sold out a month in advance.

Advanced ticket sales are underway but some individual tickets are still available at $125 each by calling the Museum at (850) 432- 6247.

The Museum of Art is located at 407 South Jefferson Street, Pensacola. Museum hours are Tuesday-Friday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from noon-5 pm; closed Mondays.

Admission is $5 for adults & $2 for students & active duty military. Tuesdays, admission is free.
