Bova Sisters to Present Duo-Piano Concert
Cynthia and Stephanie Bova will be presented in a Duo-Piano Concert on Sunday, May 15 at 3:00 p.m. in the Music Hall at the University of West Florida. This performance will benefit the Pierre P. Huybregts Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Cynthia, 17, is a senior at Gulf Breeze High School. She is dual-enrolled at U.W.F. where she studies the piano with Dr. Hedi Salanki. Stephanie, 15, is a freshman at Gulf Breeze High and studies the piano with Carol Payne. Both sisters have won numerous awards throughout the state and the southern U.S. as soloists and duo-pianists.
Selections to be performed include a two-piano version of songs from George Gershwin’s "Porgy and Bess", piano concertos by Liszt and Grieg, and pieces by Bach and Lutoslawski.
Compact Discs featuring Pierre Huybregts will be available for sale at the event, with all proceeds benefiting the scholarship in his name.
The performance is free and no tickets are required.
