Gerhard migrates south for Museum of Commerce concert

Ed Gerhard makes his annual southern migratory trip to Pensacola, this year celebrating the Grammy nomination of Henry Mancini: Pink Guitar featuring Gerhard's arrangement of “Moon River.” Warner Brothers has also just released the long awaited book “Ed Gerhard: The Guitar Songbook.” The highly acclaimed guitarist will appear February 3 in downtown Pensacola at the Museum of Commerce.

Gerhard will share an evening of exquisite guitar music-- performing songs from his soon to be released CD, as well as concert favorites on 6-string, 12-string, slide guitar and acoustic lap steel. Gerhard combines rare compositional depth with inspired virtuosity. Fans of guitar music won’t want to miss this opportunity to see and hear one of the country’s finest players.

Gerhard’s own latest release House of Guitars has enjoyed a long run of critical raves as Frets Magazine calls it "...a creative and sonic masterpiece." Acoustic Guitar Magazine writes "...his recordings and live performances have established him as one of the most exciting of the guitarist-composers."
