There may not be a Mardi Gras Parade planned for Pensacola Beach this year, but there is another great reason to head on out to Pensacola Beach and join the fun!
On Sunday, February 6 the merchants of Pensacola Beach will be ready and waiting to serve you, and to add some spice to fun, there will be a Pub Crawl planned from noon until you drop.
Meet at Hemingway’s at noon, and pick up your Pub Crawl T-shirt for only $12. Participants wearing the T-shirt will receive discounts along the way, and plenty of special treatment.
From Hemingway’s, the Crawl will take the crowd to Hooters, Bamboo Willie’s, Flounders, and then on to Sidelines, Paradise Grill and the Islander as they travel West down Via de Luna. Pub Crawl locales will offer live music as well, and when they arrive at Paddy O’Leary’s Irish Pub, the true feel of an Irish Pub Crawl will be enjoyed along with tunes from Richard Madden. Enjoy the totally renovated pub and a few games of Dare-me Darts before you amble on down to the Break for the evening’s finale.
“We truly want our friends and patrons in the surrounding areas to head out to the beach and enjoy this evening,” said co-coordinator Sean Rogan. “We are all in this recovery process together. We are all coming together to show the community that we are alive and on our way back to well!”
“The Pub Crawl is a tradition in Ireland,” explains Seamas Hunt, co-owner of Paddy’s. “It brings neighbors and friends together in fun.”
While the Pensacola Beach Pub Crawl will not include the requisite poetry readings of its Irish predecessor, the event will bring together a community long separated by Ivan’s damage.
