Professional Hearing Aid Center can help you enjoy life again

Special to Splash

According to Patricia Wilson, owner and operator of Professional Hearing Aid Center, 115 N. Palafox St., Pensacola, says “one of the major problems today hindering hearing is wax. Whether it is was in the ear or the hearing aid, you may have difficulty hearing and understanding.”

Two procedures, Video Otoscopy and The Re Nu System help with each of these major problem areas.

* The Video Otoscope allows the individual to see for themselves if they have excessive earwax.

* The amazing Re-Nu Preventive Maintenance System actually removes was from your hearing aid.

The Video Otoscopy is a safe procedure that allows us to record your ears’ condition in a color image clearer than an X-ray. You can observe the ear scan on the otoscope’s color monitor. The enhanced picture may be helpful in the early detection of developing conditions, which may need attention — such as excessive accumulation of earwax, perforations of the eardrum, scar tissue on the eardrum; abnormalities of the canal lining and or growths in the ear canal.

This painless procedure takes only a few moments and may answer many of your questions about the condition of your ear, whether wax may be a factor in your hearing problems and if you are a hearing aid user, it may help to correct problems you have have experienced.

The amazing Re-Nu Preventive Maintentance System helps in two ways:

1. Keeps present aids in good working order

2. If your hearing aids are dead, have static, or sound distorted, the Re-Nu System dehumidifies your aids and also breaks up unwanted wax. This usually saves you the cost of repairs and needless delays. The audio comparator allows you to listen to the results of your restored hearing instrument.

New technology today has allowed many individuals to not only help them hear and understand better than ever in quiet environments but also provide them with better understanding in noisy situations.

The newest models may be set to amplify soft sounds more than loud sounds allowing the individual to understand clearly in most environments. Some of these devices are so advanced they can recognize the spoken word.

The Pensacola office celebrates its 38th year of serving Pensacola and surrounding areas. Patricia, along with husband John C. Wilson III, opened their first branch in Crestview in 1993 at 502 N. Main St.

Their newest branch at 5851 Berryhill Rd. opened its doors in 1999 and is managed by their daughter, Dr. Sabrina Kaestle-Peterman.

“I have enjoyed fitting the newest style instrument, the CIC (completely in the canal) for 10 years now,” Patricia says. “There are many brands, styles, sizes, prices and circuits. The most important thing is early detection and correction, so don’t delay — call today!”

Professional Hearing Aid Center can be reached at 477-PHAC (7422).
