MUD BUGS

It’s crawfish time along the Gulf Coast, and Bamboo Willie’s makes it easy to enjoy this tiny delicacy! Crawfish recipes are passed from generation to generation in Southern Louisiana, and most people who love to eat them would never dare attempt to prepare them. So leave the preparation to the experts, and enjoy a tray of the little “mud bugs,” as Cajuns affectionately call them, during the Bamboo Willie’s Crawfish Festival April 15 - 17 on Pensacola Beach.

Bamboo Willie’s will be running Corona specials all week end long, so grab either a small tray to enjoy by yourself, or a large one to share with friends. The crawfish will be seasoned to perfection and complimented by the usual sides including potatoes and corn.

Every year, folks in Southern Louisiana look forward with anticipation to the arrival of Springtime when the crawfish season gets in full gear, and friends and family get together to enjoy this fantastic Cajun delicacy. There is always plenty of fun and music during such get -togethers, and you won’t be disappointed by the Bamboo Willie’s Crawfish Festival because live music will be provided all weekend long.

The festival begins Friday, April 15 at 3 p.m. Buzz Cutt will start the evening’s music and dancing at 4 p.m., followed by Ba’nana Republic at 9 p.m.

Enjoy a lazy Saturday start time of 11 a.m. and get your table before Strung Over gears up at noon. Buzz Cutt hit’s the stage at 4:30, and Lazy Day takes over at 9:30. There will be face painting as well, so plan to hang out and enjoy the beautiful day and into the moonlit evening.

Sunday, April 17, the Crawfish Festival starts at noon just in time for lunch in the sun. Lazy Day will play at 1 p.m. followed by Ba’nana Republic at 6 p.m.

Whether you call them crawfish, crayfish, crawdads or mudbugs, you’ll enjoy the hot, spicy treat and a cool beer at Bamboo Willies! Large trays will be $14, small servings only $6. For more information contact Bamboo Willie’s at 916-9888.

Don’t forget the HOOTERS BIKINI CONTEST AT BAMBOO WILLIE’S Sat April 23rd at 3pm! Willie has arranged to host the West Regional Bikini Contest for the World Famous Hooters Girls at Bamboo Willie’s. Now that’s two spicy weekends in a row!
