Historic Pensacola Village celebrates Florida Heritage Month
In celebration of Florida Heritage Month, Historic Pensacola Village and the T.T. Wentworth, Jr. Florida State Museum will open April 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Wentworth Museum, which has been closed since Hurricane Ivan, will celebrate a grand reopening by displaying several new exhibits.
Attendees will also be able to tour historic homes, Old Christ Church, the Museum of Commerce and Industry and the Colonial Archaeological Trail. The event is free and open to the public.
Last year Gov. Bush and Secretary of State Glenda Hood initiated the First annual Florida Heritage Month as a tribute to the heritage and history of the state. This year the month will be observed March 15 through April 15.
