Pensacola Power These ladies punt pass and kick their way to the goal

If you thought you saw the defensive lineman entering the ladies room, you’re probably watching a Pensacola Power football game.
The all-female football team is back at it again this spring, ready to infuse the area with hard hitting football action.
The Pensacola Power will have their pre-season game April 2 against the Nashville Dream, and their first regular season home opener on Saturday, April 16 vs. the New Orleans Blaze at 7:00 p.m.
The Pensacola Power will end their regular season at home on Saturday, June 11 vs. the Gulf Coast Herricanes.

On Sunday, April 3 at 1 p.m. you can “Meet the Power” at Bamboo Willie’s, 400 Quietwater Beach Rd. in Pensacola Beach. Players and coaches will sign autographs, and attendees may win season tickets and other Power merchandise.
The National Women’s Football Association (NWFA) did things a bit differently this year and opted to do away with Divisional play and adopt a Conference schedule only. Teams were scheduled to play each other based on regional proximity and strength of team.
All Saturday home games will be played at Escambia High School and are scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. More detailed information can be found by visiting the Pensacola Power’s Web site’s “Games” page at www.pensacolapower.com.
The Pensacola Power, is a member of the National Women’s Football Association (NWFA). Organized in 2001, the Power is one of the most successful teams in the league, earning a Championship title in every season of its existence. The Power is the only team in the NWFA to go undefeated, 8-0, during the 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 season, with playoff appearances in every season. The team holds the 2001 and 2003 Southern Conference Title and 2002, 2003 and 2004 Gulf Coast Division Titles.
