UWF offers summer swimming lessons The University of West Florida will offer morning and evening summer swimming lessons for all ages, six months to adult, at the Roger Scott City Pool located at 2060 Summit Boulevard in Pensacola.
The cost per session, consisting of eight lessons, is $45. Classes meet in the mornings four times per week over two weeks and in the evenings twice weekly over a four week period.
Morning sessions begin at 9 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. from Monday through Thursday for the dates of May 31 through June 9; June 13 through 23; June 27 through July 7; and July 11 through 21.
Evening sessions occur on Mondays and Wednesdays or on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. for the dates of June 6 through 29; June 7 through 30; and July 5 through 28.
UWF will also offer lessons at its main campus at the Village West Apartments Pool June 13 through 23 for young beginners ages three to five and June 27 through July 8 for beginners ages six and up.
Classes meet Tuesday through Friday for 30 minutes.
Morning classes at UWF are held at 10 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
