Make learning about history Pensacola Historical Society plans Second Family Fun Day

Muskets, bayonets, and tri-corn hats! Children of all ages are urged to answer the “call to arms” when Spanish colonial soldiers descend upon downtown, Saturday, July 9, at 10:00am. There will be tales of Indian attacks, pirate raids, smuggling, and American incursions against His Most Catholic Majesty’s colony, Pensacola. According to reenactor, David Edwards, “We’re going to keep Pensacola history alive!”

The event, which is sponsored by the Pensacola Historical Society, begins at the Pensacola Historical Museum at 115 E. Zarragossa Street and last two hours. It is free for children and adults.
