America's Walk for Diabetes America's Walk for Diabetes is the American Diabetes Association largest fundraising event. The 2005 America's Walk For Diabetes is Walking on the Wild Side at The ZOO in Gulf Breeze, FL. Participants raise funds for research, advocacy and education. For more information call Lynne Cranford at 850-478-5957. Registration is required and walkers who raise a minimun of $100 receive a walk teeshirt. Pensacola Beach Bash Nov. 5th @ Noon 5 p.m. Celebrates Local Military and Their Families The Pensacola Beach Bash celebrates a day of activities for everyone to salute our military and their families from noon–5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Gulfside Pavilion. Things get rolling as Repeat Offender plays “music with a charge” from noon–2 p.m. and 3–5 p.m. The four-man group will entertain with originals as well as cover tunes ranging from the Beatles to Nickleback. Boogie, Inc. follows with karaoke and entertainment from 2–3 p.m. WCOA will also broadcast live from the Gulfside Pavilion from noon-–3 p.m. As a special thank you, there will be many giveaways for military with ID from Cat Country 98.7, Crabs, Hemingway’s, Island Style, Sandshaker, Springhill Suites, Santa Rosa Island Authority and TLC Caregivers including free hotel stays and dinners on the beach. As part of Military Appreciation Month, several beach businesses including Flounders, Funny Cars, Island Style and Sandshaker, will offer discounts during the month of November to military with ID. As part of the Pensacola Bay Area Military Appreciation Month, the Pensacola Beach Chamber in conjunction with the Santa Rosa Island Authority have lined up local bands and entertainment, giveaways and business discounts in honor of our military and their families and the sacrifices they make. Gulf Coast Kid's House Healing Heart's Tour

Nov. 10th @ 5 p.m. Gulf Coast Kid’s House invites the public to our Healing Kid’s Hearts Tour November 10, 2005 at 5 p.m. The healing Kid’s Hearts Tour will include information about Gulf Coast Kid’s House and a tour. Refreshments will be served. The key concept behind Gulf Coast Kid’s House is that an abused child only has to go one place tell his or her experience of abuse and receive help. The Gulf Coast Kid’s House Multidisciplinary team, which consists of child protective services, law enforcement, prosecution, medical and mental health professionals, has worked together to develop a comprehensive protocol for Gulf Coast Kid’s House that is collaborative and childcentered. The primary focus is ensuring that children who are victims of abuse will not be further traumatized by the system that is intended to help and protect them.

Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show

With Pensacola as its home base, the Navy’s elite Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, will close the 2005 season with a grand finale performance aboard Naval Air Station Pensacola on November 11th and 12th.
