Pensacola Beach water tower
Goodwill Easter Seals has introduced the seventh in a series of “Christmas On The Coast” collectible gold and brass Christmas ornaments into the Pensacola area. This year’s signature ornament, “The Pensacola Beach Water Tower” depicts artwork by local artist, Mitzi PresleyHolt. The City of Pensacola also designated this as the Official Christmas Ornament of the City.
Last year’s ornament, The Pensacola Beach Sign, was such a huge seller, that retailers ran out of the available ornaments in early November. “So many people lost their Christmas ornaments during Hurricane Ivan and the Pensacola Beach Sign is such a monumental landmark in Pensacola. People were desperate to get their hands on one”, says Stephanie Constantine, VP of Marketing for Goodwill Easter Seals. Additional Beach Sign ornaments have been ordered this year to sell again this year. We certainly hope that the Pensacola Beach Water Tower Ornament will be just as popular as the Beach Sign.
Whitney Banks, will be the premier retailer of this years’ ornament. The ornament may also be purchased at all Pensacola area Members First Credit Unions; Ann’s Hallmark on Nine Mile Rd; Cumulus Broadcasting on “W” Street, Gus’ Stationary and Gifts in Gulf Breaze, The Victorian Tea Shoppe and Koby’s Hallmark on Palafox Place and Koby’s Hallmark at Davis and Olive.
Both Goodwill Easter Seals’ locations, 15 Brent Lane and 2 E. Nine Mile Rd. will have the 2005 ornament as well as the prior year ornaments; The Old Lace House 1999, the Springhill Guest House, 2000 , The Wentworth Museum 2001, The Pensacola Lighthouse 2002, The Dorr House 2003, and The Pensacola Beach Sign – 2004. The ornaments cost $10 and are tax free. Proceeds from the sale of these unique ornaments help provide services that encourage, educate and employ individuals with disabilities and others in need.
