The Melting Pot of Pensacola, located at 418 Gregory St., will host a benefit, called Winter Wine Festival, from December 24, to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Dec. 2, 3 Christian Symphonic Band and Strings presents concert

The Christian Symphonic Band and Strings will be opening the Christmas season with a lively concert entitled, “Christmas Sketches”.

There will be two performances this year: Friday, December 2, 7 p.m. at the Navarre United Methodist Church, 9474 Highway 98, Navarre, FL and Saturday, December 3, 7 p.m., at Cinco Baptist Church, 26 Yacht Club Drive, Ft. Walton Beach, FL. Both concerts are free to the public with an offering taken during the concert.

ABATE’s Toy Run Ride

Bikers Rev Up to Make Christmas Merry for Area Kids

Polish your chrome sleigh and put on your black leather boots. It’s time for the American Bikers Aimed Toward Education’s annual Toy Run. Rev up and ride over to the Hadji Shrine Temple on Nine Mile Road in Pensacola at 9 a.m. Sunday, December 4. The Gulf Coast Chapter of ABATE of Florida once again will host the police escorted Toy Run which begins at 11a.m. The cost to ride is $10 per person. Make your own glass ornament at Belmont Bizarre

Pensacola, Fla. The Belmont Arts Center will its host Belmont’s Bizzare, Saturday, Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. featuring more than 40 area artists will

exhibit and sell their original works of art at this event.

Shop for items such as acrylic paintings; pastel drawings; Raku pottery; handmade fabric bags; mosaic glass; watercolors; hand blown glass; beaded jewelry; wheel thrown and hand built clay pottery; hand painted wearable silk; metal jewelry; glass etchings; handmade knit hats; holiday ornaments; and more.

As a special holiday twist, resident glass artist Joe Hobbs will be assisting children and adults with the creation of their very own glass ornament. The cost is $20 per ornament made.

In addition, there will also be food, beverages, tours of the center, live glass blowing and glass bead making demonstrations and a special children’s booth.
