Local boy Joe Scarborough is grand marshal for Snowball Derby
Pensacola’s Joe Scarborough will be the grand marshal for the 38th annual Snowball Derby on Dec. 4 at Five Flags Speedway.
Scarborough is a former Congressman who now works for MSNBC as cable news host for “Scarborough Country.” He also provides on-air political commentary for MSNBC, CNBC and NBC’s Today Show.
Before the Snowball Derby starts, Scarborough will greet drivers and give the command to start their engines.
“We’re pleased to have Joe be a part of our Snowball Derby festivities,” said track promoter Tim Bryant. “He is always talking about his hometown of Pensacola and we’re glad he’s a part of our community and will be a part of Five Flags racing for the Snowball Derby.”
Snowball Derby week kicks off Nov. 30 with the 2nd Annual Green Flag Party at the track. For the complete lineup of the week’s activities and driver entries, go to www.snowballderby.com
