Homeskillet

There's the sound of the a saxophone in the wind over Pensacola Beach and you find yourself ready to dance. Its seductive wail pulls you in to the crowd as it joins in with the beat of the drums and the chugging rythmn of the guitar you know you've got to dance.

Homeskillet is playing at the Sand Shaker, and even if you are determined not to dance, you will tap your feet and feel your body move as you listen to their serenade of soulful New Orleansinfluenced R & B. This is a band you will not want to miss, and March is your lucky month as they will be at 'the Shaker' March 4 and 11.

The band came together in August, 2005 and they love to play their Delta and Texas blues, and dance mix.

""We always try to enjoy ourselves and we have a lot of crowd interaction," says Karl Langley, drummer and manager. " We have an artistic side, but we also try to play to the crowd because we realize that people come out to sing along and dance."

Band members include Pete Leoni Keys and Bass Guitar, Lead Vocals; Gerry Gambino Rhythm and lead guitar; Blake Nolte Sax; Jimmy Godwin rhythm and lead guitar.

Karl, Pete and Jimmy share vocal responsibilities, hitting every note while simultaneously playing their instruments.

There is a lot of energy in this band, and it translates well intro a crowd which immediately gets involved.

If it's more your style to sit and enjoy a few cool ones, chatting with friends, you still need to drop by the Shaker even if you sit out on the deck you will enjoy this skilled troupe.

You may have already enjoyed their sound during the Sand Shaker New Years Eve Blast, where their aura thrilled the crowds well towards dawn.

The Sand Shaker is located at 731 Pensacola Beach Blvd. on Pensacola Beach. Call 9322211 for details.
