Guy and Ralna Perform in Pensacola
Guy and Ralna, the famous singing couple featured on "The Lawrence Welk Show," are coming to the Pensacola area. Fans will have a chance to hear live the easy-listening, "champagne music" that became a staple of the show. Guy and Ralna achieved national popularity after joining and performing together on "The Lawrence Welk Show" in 1970. This time-honored show has aired for over 50 years on national television and is currently syndicated on 279 PBS stations in the United States and Canada. Guy and Ralna continue to be favorites from the show, known for its easy listening music, themed shows and wholesome values. Singing together fewer than ten times a year now, Guy and Ralna have both found success after "The Lawrence Welk Show." They were nominated for a Dove Award for the song "How Great Thou Art," one of their many collaborations. Ralna continues to tour the country 125 days a year with a solo music act, Guy and Ralna will appear in two special performances on Saturday, June 10 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. in WSRE's Jean & Paul Amos Performance Studio. Tickets go on sale March 15 and are $50 for floor seats, $35 for lower level seats and $25 for upper level seats (plus service charge).
