HOLLYWOOD ... At the moment, Renee Zellweger's hair is long, blond and very straight. Tomorrow it could be short and red. After dropping out of "The Eye," she has signed on to star in "Case 39." This about a social worker who saves an abused 10-year-old girl only to discover things weren't exactly what they seemed. Whatever that means. ... At the moment, Miss Z is filming "Miss Potter," the life story of writer Beatrix Potter. As to her private life, right now it's just that - private.
Sharon Stone took $11 million of the $14 million she was paid for "Basic Instinct 2" and bought herself some new digs in the posh Beverly Hills area of L.A. The estate sits on 9 acres behind huge gates with a tennis court, a swimming pool, a meditation garden, pathways that lead over bridges and around waterfalls, with many fruit trees and a view of the mountains and the ocean. There's a winding road leading to the house, which has five bedrooms and six baths. Also on the grounds is a twobedroom guest house with a media room (whatever that is) and a gym. Think she'll be comfortable? ... And by the way, did you know Stone picks up extra "shekels" as the face of Dior's anti-aging cream?
Brooke Shield's new baby and the baby Cruise were born on the same day. But that doesn't mean they will be best friends, what with Tom's tirade on Brooke for taking antidepressant pills.
