Blues on the Beach Back for 2006
The Blues on the Beach concert series is back for 2006 with an exciting line up of bands playing every Tuesday from 7-9 p.m., May through August at the Gulfside Pavilion on Pensacola Beach.
The Reunion Band will kick off the season on May 2 with their crowd-pleasing music. Concerts are provided by the Santa Rosa Island Authority.
"This will be the perfect kick off to the summer season on the beach," said W. A. "Buck" Lee, Santa Rosa Island Authority general manager, when asked about the concert. He also suggested, "We don't want the crowd watching. We want them to bring their dancing shoes."
Ongoing concerts include: May 9, the Salt Shakers; May 16, Rocker AJ; May 23, After Hours, and May 30, ETC. The first concert in June will be June 6, Slim & Company.
Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to the pavilion area. No pets are allowed and glass is prohibited.
