'Prima Faciea' at Artel Gallery through June 16
Artel Gallery's latest exhibit, "Prima Facie", will run May 2 through June 16, 2006 with an opening reception on May 12 from 6-8 p.m.
The juried show asked artists to interpret the term "prima facie", or at first sight, upon first viewing and was juried by Sue Laing, art instructor at Jefferson Davis Community College.
Winners of cash prizes are Best of Show, Sheila P. Courtney; First Place, Lonnie Rich; Second Place, Pam Folse and Rick Otoupalik (collaborative work); Third Place, Duncan Stewart.
Artel is a not-for-profit educational gallery located at 505 South Adams Street near Seville Square and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information call the gallery at 850 432-3080.
