Terry Lee Poole rocks classic heavy blues'his own way' at Paradise Bar and Grill
Terry Lee Poole June 2-4 and June 23-24 Live at Paradise Bar & Grill 21 Via de Luna Pensacola Beach

Terry Lee Poole is one of the most electrifying blues guitarists you'll ever hear. With a tasteful mixture of heavy blues and R&B, Terry Lee creates a new category of music designed to knock you off your feet.

Terry Lee made music a priority in his life at a very early age. Born in Jackson, Mississippi and raised in Meridian, Mississippi, near the Alabama state line, he didn't start playing the guitar until he was 14. But once he started, the guitar consumed him. Growing up in Mississippi instilled a great fondness and deep understanding of this brutally honest music called the blues. And you know after listening to the very first cut of 'Eat You Alive', that Terry Lee is the 'Real Thing'.

According to Poole, once his older sister gave him a copy of the first Hendrix album, he knew he had to play the blues. He is true to his roots and influences, so don't hesitate to ask him to play Hendrix's "Third Stone From The Sun," a nod to the man who he says changed his life.

Early on, Terry Lee was influenced by other blues greats like BB King, Freddie King, Albert King, and Eric Clapton, among others, of course. But over the years his style has become his very own...powerful and soulful... blues at it's best.

After years of performing with successful southern bands, Poole moved to Southern California to work full time on his music. Not an easy task for a Mississippian to 'fit in' the Hollywood scene. Being quite a culture shock, he decided to relocate down to Orange County and took on a gig with MTV's Julie Brown for a spell. He then joined a band called "The Woodpeckers', doing gigs opening for bands like 'The Stray Cats' and 'The Busboys" .

"I tried to be everyone else's guitar player, figuring that's how I would make it, but I wasn't getting anywhere," he explains, "I knew in my heart that I had to express myself through my own music, my own way."

Terry Lee Poole will be at Paradise Bar and Grill on Pensacola Beach the weekends of June 2-4 and June 23-25 doing it 'his own way.'
