Destin's Village of Baytowne Wharf jammin' in June with free concerts

Destin, Fla.- The Village of Baytowne Wharf is jammin' in June with the Wednesday Night Concert Series each week from 7-9 p.m. on June 7, 14, 21 and 28 at the Events Plaza. Be sure to bring a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy the free evening concerts under the stars.

It all starts with some groovy tunes from Hubba Hubba on June 7. The five-man jug band will get funky with some Louisiana blues.

They will entertain the audience with a fun, spectacular performance with lead vocalist Duke Bardwell, who played nearly 200 shows with Elvis himself in the 70s, and Franko Jackson, a.k.a. "Washboard Jackson," highlighting the show. This group is always high energy and knows how to work a crowd.

Next to hit the stage June 14 is Sticks & Stones. Entertaining crowds with a fusion of R&B, roots blues and classic rock this group is sure to please a variety of music lovers.

Free your mind and spirit as Luna Mantra performs on June 21. This progressive, world-fusion trio specializes in world beat, jazz-fusion rhythms with a bit of funk. Influences of flamenco, gypsy, bossa nova, bluegrass, tango and reggae add to their unique style and are sure to be a treat for your ears.

Sticks&Stones
On June 28, Enjoy a musical blending of mandolin, fiddle, guitar and bass comes as Dread Clampitt performs. This roots fusion four-piece band features original and cover tunes ranging from bluegrass and Americana to country. Do not be surprised if they throw in a little Jimi Hendrix and Waylon Jennings "Clampitt style" as well.

Watch for the July and August lineup in Splash! magazine, as Baytowne Wharf features new artists who will be making their firstever appearance in the area.
