Molly Ringwalds able to help you return to Pensacola to rock Seville By Jason Thompson Splash! Magazine
If you're anywhere between the ages of 25 and 40, you are a child of the 80s.
Like me, you probably spent your youth doing at least three things getting hand cramps from Rubik's Cube, getting hand cramps from playing Atari and listening to a lot of 80s music.
The Molly Ringwalds may not be able to help you with the first two, but they're experts on the third.
The self proclaimed
World's Greatest '80s tribute Band' will be back in Pensacola Monday July 3 for a show at Seville Quarter.
The 'Celebrate Freedom' concert tickets are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the show. The doors of Phineas Phogg's will open at 8 p.m. The show will start at 9:30. ID will be required before entering.
The concert will be the group's third in the area in the last three months, their most recent on June 10 at Capt N Fun's on Pensacola Beach.
The group also dresses the part of your favorite 80s musicians.
Lead singer Devon Nooner dresses up like Adam Ant. Guitarist Randi Wilde is a member of the one-hit wonder Devo, while keyboardist Dickie English has been both Pee Wee Herman and the late Freddie Mercury.
Phillip Wang has been both Dee Snider, ex-lead singer of Twisted Singer, as well as Madonna. Drummer Liam Thunders dresses up as The Karate Kid.
During the shows, the band also plays spoofs of their favorite 80s videos. Their
video rendition of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' is very entertaining.
They've also been known to pass around their beverages of choice to the crowd Crown Royal and Jack Daniels.
Audience participation is also a prerequisite. So to get your vocal chords ready to sing along!
