Gallery Walk 'Black and White Again' juried exhibit begins at Artel Opening Reception Friday August 11 6-8 p.m.
Revisiting the powerful qualities of B&W, works of all media were accepted for this juried exhibit, but no color of any kind.
A fine art photographer for many years now, juror Scott Mueller is best known for his alternative photography techniques using Polaroid films which he manipulates to make impressionistic images. His main objective is for his images to have a painterly appeal and indeed many of his pictures have such a strong impressionistic impact that they seem to fuse the two mediums together. Scott exhibits mainly in the Southeast at fine art festivals and galleries, has won numerous awards, and can be found on the web at www.scottmueller.artspan.com.
This program funded, in part, by Escambia County, the City of Pensacola, and by donors to the United Arts Funds of the Arts Council of Northwest Florida, and by the Florida Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs and the Florida Arts Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Artel's mission is to provide a venue for experimental or "edgy" art.
