Close out summer at Jamaican Fest

Summer's not over yet, as plans are heating up for a big bash before the weather cools down. Get ready for the first-ever Jamaican Fest at PortoFino Boardwalk on Labor Day Weekend. The family event will feature two stages of live music with five bands playing all weekend long, including Dash Rip Rock entertaining Saturday night on the Bamboo Willie's Stage.

The Kids Zone will keep youngsters busy, and a sidewalk sale at the Boardwalk will offer browsing and shopping opportunities. You can even get the Jamaican look, complete with twisted hair, with a visit to the dreadlocks station. Here's the full entertainment lineup:

Friday, Sept. 1 Bamboo Willie's stage 4 p.m. - One Jamaican Reggae Band 6 p.m. - Ba'nana Republic Half Shell stage 5 p.m. - LMR2

Saturday, Sept. 2 Bamboo Willie's stage Noon - One Jamaican Reggae Band 5 p.m. - Ba'nana Republic 11 p.m. - Dash Rip Rock Half Shell stage Noon to 4 p.m. - Good Foote 5 p.m. - LMR2

Sunday, Sept. 3 Bamboo Willie's stage 1 p.m. - LMR2 5 p.m. - Bikini Contest

7 p.m. - Ba'nana Republic

On Sunday, the Jamaican Fest wraps up with a bikini contest and the "Anything that Floats" bathtub races.

Ba'nana Republic, the house band at Bamboo Willie's Beachside Bar, will perform all three nights at Jamaican Fest.

. Most Dramatic Sinker

There's even a chance to win prizes in the Lazy Division Bathtub races. Individuals and businesses can enter to win prizes, so challenge your friends to a race!
