October Arts Festival planned for Navarre Beach

| Many activities are planned for the Greater Navarre Beach Arts Association First Annual Arts Festival starting Friday, Oct. 13 at sundown with a musical presentation and continuing on Sat. and Sunday with theatrical productions, music, a "Navarre Idol" contest, 80 arts and crafts booths, food and fun for the family.
The GNBAA Arts Festival will be held on Navarre Beach in the parking lot next to Cocodries Restaurant. Exhibitor set up will be Friday, from noon to 6 pm.
Friday, Oct. 13, Stephen Lyons, nationally recognized sand sculpture artist, will be sculpting a HUGE sand sculpture of the Greater Navarre Beach Arts Association logo in the sand outside of Juana's on the sound.
Evening entertainment is planned all weekend (See sidebar at left with schedule as of press time)
On Saturday, the Arts Festival opens at 10 a.m. and artists and crafters will be selling their wares until 6 p.m. From 1 - 5 p.m., the "Navarre Idol" Contest will take over the stage with acts from many talented people in our community.

| At 6 pm, theater and music take over the stage, and Cocodries Restaurant will host many musical presentations.
Sunday the Art Show continues from noon to 5 pm; and at the same time there will be live jazz music, food and fun.
