Fall Family Festival hits Destin Commons Oct. 14

Hands-on activities, a bounce house and a rock climbing wall will be at the festival to provide fun for the whole family.
Destin Commons will host another spectacular Fall Family Festival on Saturday, October 14, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Destin Commons' Center Plaza.

It will be a fun-filled day for all to enjoy with performances and demonstrations from local kids' groups and organizations. There will be a kid's fashion show at noon by Hugs & Hissy Fits and demonstrations throughout the day by Dance Elite, US Gold's Gym, the All Star Twirlers, Chick Mathis Taekwando, the Destin School of Music & Dance, Drake's School of Irish Dancers, the Destin Dazzlers, All Star Twirlers and more. Bearamy from Build-A-Bear Workshop will do meet and greets and Learning Express Toys will host a Brownies' bake sale in front of their store.The

Area non-profit organizations and local family fun businesses will be on hand offering various kids' activities and projects. Participating groups include Island Raceway, Everywhere Learning, Emerald Coast Science Center, Gulfarium, Girl Scouts, Feline Friends, the YMCA and others.

Bring a pair of new pajamas, or donate $10 to The Pajama Program, a not-forprofit organization and get 1 free ride. Fun slides, a bounce house and rock climbing wall will be at the festival. Demonstrations are free. Kids can also check out the newly renovated and expanded playground at Destin Commons. PJ's and money collected will benefit the Children's Advocacy Center.
