| Take a walk on the WILD side! If the family is ready for something WILD, check out WILDfest 2006. On Saturday, October 14 from noon to 3:30 the Wildlife Sanctuary of Northwest Florida is having its fourth annual WILDfest. This event joins food and fun with learning. Admission is free! Located at the Wildlife Sanctuary at 105 North S street behind the old Gulf Power building.
Bring the family over for environmental games, listen to live music by Sweet Prospect Band and Marcia Johnston on the flute, watch the roving displays of native birds of prey. See bobcats, fox, seabirds and more. Have fun in the PJC Zoo Technology Class's environmental game area. Don't forget to come by the Pelican Deck to help feed the hungry birds and turtles. Speaking of food, hot dogs will be available for purchase. Be sure to check out WILDfest 2006 T-shirts featuring the bobcat, fox and skunk on sale the day of the festival designed by master artist Fuller Brown. Everyone will enjoy viewing the sun spots and watching the presentations of "Things that go hoot in the night". See you there!
