October is a great time for fishing!
Ican remember taking my children fishing on the river during summer when they
were very young, and they couldn't wait to get out of the heat and into the water - which wasn't very good for the fishing! Well, October is a great time to go fishing as the days are a little cooler, and even young anglers are likely to stay in the boat.
Splash! Magazine this month is full of wo n d e r f u l i n f o rmation about one of F l o r i d a ' s favorite sports - fishing. There is a fun feature on page 5 about the Fishin' Chix, a group of w o m e n committed to both fishing and to raising funds for worthy causes. Gulf Breeze resident Claudia Espenscheid is the founder of the group, and many nationwide media groups have been courting her story. Read all about it in Splash!
