Belmont Arts Center wish list includes new facade, gallery
 | | Submitted Graphic The new facade of the Belmont Arts Center is part of the board complied wish list. |
| The Belmont Arts Center is looking to build a new facade for its home, and enhance opportunities for retail sales of the one-of-akind pieces created in the community based facility.
Project Belmont's origins came from the enthusiasm of the board of directors, artists in residence, students and teachers of the Belmont Arts Center. As the Belmont continues to mature, so do the needs of the art center.
The center is proud to be the only public glass blowing facility in the state of Florida and the only community based facility of its kind in the Gulf Coast. Belmont is also a nonprofit organization that depends on memberships, grants, and funding from individuals and businesses in the community.
A wish list was created by the Belmont Arts Center based on the needs of each of the areas of education and facility. This list denoted the needs as a facility and as an organization that can provide the safest and best environment for both artists and students alike.
The current, major wish list item is for a new facade that will create an inviting entrance, retail environment for the sales of Belmont created one-of-a-kind pieces, information and a gallery in an air-conditioned space. This will encourage more visitors to the Belmont as well as be more inviting for guest artists and patrons.
The matching funding that is provided for this new facade will in turn allow the Belmont to focus on building programs for both adults and children. The Belmont Arts Center wants to be a catalyst for growth in the Belmont- Devilliers community as well as all of the Pensacola area.
