Months of facility planning, food preparation and cultural hospitality will all come together for this special community event. The Greek Festival is an integral part the Pensacola Greek community, and in a spirit of hospitality, the parishioners of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation open their festival to all.

According to church members, the event allows them to share both their Orthodox Christianity as well as their cultural traditions with area neighbors. As always, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local charity.

Greek cuisine is the focus of the three days of festivities. Various menu items are presented with a Grecian flair. Baked chicken, roasted lamb, pistachio , mousaka, tiropeta, spanakopeta, manestra and Grecian green beans are served continuously during our hours of operation. Traditional gyro, souvlakia and sausage, calamaria and Greek salad are favorites from our sandwich booth.

The beautifully displayed Greek pastries include baklava, kataife, kourambiethes, pasta, ergolavos, kok, koulourakia and paximadia. You must see and taste to appreciate.

Festival guests are invited to attend a tour of the church which includes explanations of traditional Orthodox architecture, music and worship.

The Festival is held at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, 1720 West Garden Street, under the tents on the grounds of the church. Continuous live Greek bouzoukee music, native Greek dance performances and a variety of Greek foods fill the grounds.

FRIDAY NOV. 10 11AM- 10PM

SATURDAY NOV. 11 11AM- 10PM

SUNDAY NOV. 12 NOON - 6 PM A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Escambia Dental Cooperative, the 2006 Greek Festival designated ministry. This dental cooperative is an adult dental clinic which provides emergency dental care for indigent Escambia County residents.
