Be thankful for great entertainment in November
Toby Keith "Hangs Out" in Pensacola Nov. 2

Keith
Country music's liveliest superstar, Toby Keith, is bringing his "Hookin' Up and Hangin' Out" Tour to The Pensacola Civic Center on Thursday, Nov. 2. Keith spent the better part of the century packing houses and raising roofs at concert venues throughout North America, stopping along the way to pick up two Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year trophies and more CMT awards than any other artist. With the September 8th opening of the CMT/Paramount Classics film "Broken Bridges," Toby Keith can add "leading man" to his impressive resume.

Keith will be hangin' out with special guest Joe Nichols. Country's hottest new talent Lindsey Haun and Rushlow Harris will open the 7:30pm show.

For the third year, superstar Toby Keith has been named Nashville Songwriter Association International's (NSAI) 2006 Songwriter/Artist of the Year. In the past year Keith released his latest platinum selling album, "White Trash With Money," which features 12 tracks that he wrote or cowrote including the hit singles "Get Drunk and Be Somebody," "A Little Too Late," and his current single "Crash Here Tonight."

James
"Crash Here Tonight" is also featured on the soundtrack to Keith's debut feature film, the Paramount Classics and CMT Films BROKEN BRIDGES. The release, on his own label Show Dog Nashville, was the highest debut for a country soundtrack in Soundscan history. The 14- track album boasts eight songs written or co-written by Keith, seven of which Keith himself performs including the title track that features label-mate Lindsey Haun. Haun also helms the hit single from the soundtrack "Broken."

Keith was also awarded the NSAI Songwriter/Artist of the Year title in 2003 and 2004.

Fans can catch Toby Keith live in concert on his Ford Trucks sponsored Hookin' Up & Hangin' Out Tour which includes fellow Show Dog Nashville label-mates Rushlow Harris and Lindsey Haun. Keith's top-notched talent in charge on the road include three winners of 2006 Parnelli Awards, which is the premiere awards show for the live event industry. In a ceremony held this past weekend in Las Vegas, David Milam was named Tour Manager of the Year, Dirk Durham as Front Of The House Mixer of the Year (this is the second year Dirk has won this award) and Earl Neal for Monitor Mixer of the Year. This is the second consecutive year that Milam has been honored with his award.

Jony James performs at the Gutter Lounge

Nov. 7

Catch a soulful blues performance by the unique Jony James Blues Band at the Gutter Lounge in Pensacola on Nov. 7. The Jony James Blues Band (pronounced Johnnie) dares to be different. Throw any preconceived notions out the window and open your mind and ears to the sounds of some truly inspired songwriting and tasty playing from this Buffalo, NY trio.

Jony's original compositions are contemporary blues rooted songs. Jony's wonderfully inventive guitar skills are as good as anyone on the current scene but the notes are played to serve the song.

Godsmack
Jony James is overflowing with soul. It drips down from his hands onto his guitar, in lyrically urgent bends and intense ethereal assaults. It pours out through his weathered, leathery voice, telling vivid, open-minded tales of a tumultuous life, with his impressive song writing skills. His jovial, yet pensive nature is evident in both his music and stage presence. He is often compared to Stevie Ray Vaughn, however, his persistance on being "Jony" and playing Jony James', original "Survival Blues", sets him apart from the rest of the Blues Shows currently on the circuit.
