Belmont gets 'Bizzare' Dec. 9

Belmont's Bizzare will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Belmont Arts Center, 401 N. Reus St., located inside the window factory in downtown Pensacola.

More than 40 area artists will exhibit and sell their original works of art at this event. Admission is free.

As a special holiday twist, resident glass artist Joe Hobbs will be assisting children and adults with the creation of their very own glass ornament. The cost is $30 per ornament made.

Limited edition, one-of-akind Belmont ornaments will also be available for $50. With only 100 of these ornaments created, each unique piece is comprised of a hand blown globe by Joe Hobbs, embossed ceramic tile by Steve Haworth and detailed glass beads by Meredith Hartsfield.

There will also be food, beverages, tours of the center, live glass blowing and glass bead making demonstrations and a special children's booth.

The "Kid's Craft Table" will be open throughout the event and for $1 children will be able to purchase one of three available kits in which they can made their own ornament on site.

For additional information, call (850) 429-1222 or visit www.belmontartscenter.com.
