Christmas Parades help ring in the season

Saturday, December 9 is the Annual Holiday Parade in Gulf Breeze. The theme will be "Home for the Holidays in Gulf Breeze." The parade will start at 10 a.m. at the Gulf Breeze High School parking lot and progress down Shoreline and McLane Drives. The parade will end at Fairpoint and McClane and there will be a brief party in the GBHS parking lot afterwards.

Saturday, December 9, the Destin Christmas Street Parade begins at 10 a.m. Santa and all his reindeer will be marching through Destin. The theme of this year's parade is "A Fishing Village Christmas." The parade route begins at Destin Cinemas and parades west to the Destin Bridge.

Saturday, December 9, the Baytowne Christmas Stroll and Boat Parade allows guests to watch boats decorated for the holidays travel throughout the Choctawhatchee Bay and into the Horseshoe Bayou. Parade starts at 5:30 p.m. at The Village of Baytowne Wharf.

Christmas is just around the corner and the city of Pensacola is ready for the crowds of excited participants at the 2006 Pensacola Christmas Parade. The fun begins at 5:30 p.m. in Downtown Pensacola on Saturday, December 9.

Sunday, December 10, the 20th Annual Destin Holiday Boat Parade begins at 5:30 p.m. with boats, decked out in lights for the holiday season, beginning to line up in the Destin Harbor. The parade starts at 6 p.m. Public viewing is available from docks and restaurants west of Grand Harbor Condominiums.

Saturday, December 16 and 23, Sandestin presents Santa at The Market Shops at Sandestin. Santa has been checking his list twice and he wants to know who has been naughty and nice. Bring the kids to visit with Santa in the gazebo courtyard. Also, enjoy the strolling Dickens Carolers.

First Night in Sandestin, Sunday, December 31. Enjoy live music in the Village Events Plaza at Baytown Wharf leading up to the spectacular fireworks extravaganza at midnight.
