2007!!
Ring in the new year in the way that suits your style
What are your plans for New Year's Eve?

A quiet evening at home may be fine for some folks, but others like to dress up and get their groove on for New Year's Eve.

A house party is fun, if you're invited. Otherwise, you may plan to throw your own party and be in charge of the guest list. If that's the case, start planning now. Consider contacting caterers who will make the evening a smashing success with little effort on your part. How about contacting a professional decorator to hang lights and ribbon and make your houseinviting for guests? Invitations are another consideration, and there are many stationers who can convey the theme of your party in a unique way.

If parking is limited, you should act now to contact your neighbors about your plans and get their permission to have your guests park in front of your house. It never hurts to add them to the guest list, and you may turn an acquainatance into a friend in the process.

Remember to consider your own attire. It's too late to peruse your closet when the guests are on the doorstep. Consider jewelry, hair and nails as well so you'll be ready to make a great presentiona, comfortable in the knowledge that you look your best.

Party favors are fun on New Year's Eve, and you can select from hats, horns and

Want to get out of the house?

Many neighborhood bars offer live entertainment with no cover charge.

If there's one certain place you frequent, find out what the offering is for New Year's Eve because many clubs have cover charges or package deals for the evening. Remember that if you want to enjoy a cocktail that you should make plans for transportation home or bring a designated driver. No one wants to start the new year with a driving under the influence charge.

But if you really want an evening to remember, you'll need to do some advance planning.

There is an opportunity to Spend New Year's Eve listening to the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra! The evening is appropriately titled, "Celebrate the New Year" and it will be held at the Saenger Theatre in downtown Pensacola on New Year's Eve.

Mandolinist Evan Marshall is joining the Symphony for the Celebrate the New Year! performance on December 31, 2006. The symphony will add its own favorites, from toetapping classics to hard-hitting jazz.
