Koechner stars in new Comedy Central series
Q: I was listening to the radio this morning and the announcer was talking about how Jill Hennessey (of “Crossing Jordan”) has an identical twin sister. What other celebrities have twins that might not be “common knowledge”?
-- A Reader, Palm Bay, Fla.
A: Not of common knowledge? Meaning, we all know about Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen and Jeremy and Jason London, so you want to know about the “secret” twins? Well, how about Deidre Hall? Did you know that she has a fraternal twin sister -- Andrea Hall -- who actually played the younger sister of Deidre’s character (“Marlena Evans”) on “Days of Our Lives” back in the late ‘70s through the early ‘80s?
Other stars with fraternal twins include actor Ashton Kutcher, former Bronco’s quarterback John Elway, supermodel Gisele BŸndchen, actress Scarlett Johansson, actor Kiefer Sutherland, singer Justin Timberlake and actor Billy Dee Williams. Celebrities with identical twins include race-car driver Mario Andretti, actress Linda Hamilton, basketball player Horace Grant, actor Jon Heder and actor Nicholas Brendon.
*** Q: I loved “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” and “Waiting ...” The main reason: actor David Koechner. He never fails to crack me up. I haven’t seen him in anything in a while. Is he doing anything new?
Koechner -- Henry L., Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
A: Beginning Jan. 17, Koechner can be seen as “Trucker” on the new Comedy Central program “The Naked Trucker and T-Bones Show” with Dave “Gruber” Allen. The show is described as: “A little bit Butch and Sundance with a dash of Woody Guthrie, these 21st-century folk heroes drop by their favorite roadhouse to share their latest adventures. Heck, they might even pick-up a special celebrity ‘Hitchhiker of the Week’ on the way.” Sounds like we might have another “crack-up” on our hands!
