New Year, New You
Ready for a new look, a new activity and new you? Well, January and the onset of the new year offers the perfect time for change!
Ramon Walker, RJ Salon and Spa, offers five easy tips for a new-year makeover.
First, you truly are what you eat. Nutrition is the cornerstone of beauty.
Second, exercise with consistency and with an ongoing commitment. Don’t take on too much too soon.
Third, make time for facials, manicures and pedicures and massages. “Maintenance is very important,” Ramon says. “The key to the fountain of youth!”
Fourth, if you have had the same stylist and the same look for over two years, ask your stylist for their opinion, or find a new stylist who stays up to date on health and design trends. An updated you is a must for a new you!
Finally, read the label of your cosmetic line. Know what labs make them and what’s in them. Ask an aesthetician or your dermatologist for a clean, safe line.
If body tone is what you need, follow these two top tips from Bill Muldoon, General Manager, Gulf Breeze Fitness.
Most important, in addition to drinking eight to ten glasses of water daily, stop and drink eight to ten ounces of water before you begin any aerobic or fitness class. Also, create a meal planner in order to stick to a good diet of well balanced nutritional foods to help you reach your desired weight goal.
