Catch comedy "Underpants" at Pensacola JC

Come and belt out great belly laughs at the production of "Underpants" presented by the Pensacola Junior College Lyceum series.

The hilarious farce runs 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 18-19 and 25-26, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 20 and 27, at the Ashmore Fine Arts Auditorium, Building 8, on the Pensacola campus.

Comedian Steve Martin discovered this farcical gem written by Carl Sternheim. The fun begins in Dusseldorf in 1910. Louise Maske is a neglected young wife whom no one notices until one day at a city parade.

Louise excitedly stands on her tip toes to wave to the king. Then her bloomers fall down. Of course, everyone notices and soon Louise becomes a celebrity. Several men are so affected by seeing her bloomers that they swear to make Louise their own. But Louise's officious, puritanical husband, Theo, is not amused.

General admission tickets are $10; seniors, children, non- PJC students, $8; Senior Club members, PJC staff, faculty, retirees, $6; PJC students, free.
