Enjoy four days of wine, food and fun at Sandestin Wine Festival
Enjoy four days of spectacular wine, food and fun at the 21st Annual Sandestin Wine Festival at Baytowne Wharf Thursday-Sunday, April 19-22. The 21st annual festival features private dinners, rare wine auctions, celebrity winemakers and The Grand Wine Tasting, featuring more than 600 domestic and international wines, available for purchase at special-event pricing.
While the main tasting events take place on Saturday and Sunday, April 21 and 22, there is ample opportunity to meet winemakers and to enjoy exceptional wines at private dinners and other special functions beginning Thursday, April 19.
On Thursday, you'll be able to "Romance The Grapes of Burgundy, meet Rick Sayre, vice president and director of winemaking at Rodney Strong Vineyards at Marlin Grill, join Finz for an evening under the stars featuring more than 30 wines from prestigious California vineyards including BV, Chalone and Acacia, and you can also hit Bistro Bijoux to meet Swanson Vineyards' Clarke Swanson, and pair his wines with Bijoux's "Nouvelle" New Orleans cuisine.
Poppy's Seafood Factory will welcome The Hahn Estates' wines. Enjoy Poppy's lively atmosphere while learning about Hahn Estates' wines with Winemaker Adam LaZarre. Or celebrate wine with Graffiti as it hosts Winemaker Justin Baldwin of Justin Vineyards.
All private dinner events require reservations.
Friday's offerings include Winemakers and Shakers
Walkabout from 4-6 p.m. at Wine World Destin on the Mid-Bay Bridge Rd.

Seagar's will also have a Friday night dinner featuring Concreek, maker of some of California's finest Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and other Bordeaux-style wines. On Saturday, the Grand Wine Tasting will run noon to 4 p.m. at The Village of Baytowne Wharf. Must be at least 21 years of age to taste wines. Sunday wraps things up with the Bubbles and Brunch at 10:30 a.m. at Market Shop's Cypress Green and Kitchenique Cooking School followed by another day to enjoy the Grand Wine Tasting from 1-5 p.m.
