Celebrate the USA all month long
For those of us in Northwest Florida, the Fourth of July celebration is a multi-week affair, culminating with the Pensacola Beach Air show. We wear red, white and blue almost the entire month of July!

What better way to celebrate our nation's birthday than with fireworks, cookouts, festivals and then top it off with a heart stopping, ear-splitting performance by the U.S. Navy's precision flight demonstration team, the Blue Angels?

Many families plan their summer vacations around the Pensacola Beach air show ... boats crowd Little Sabine Bay and the Quietwater area so tightly you can almost walk across the sound going boat deck to boat deck, with music blaring from each one. The beaches are literally filled with throngs of folks, mingling and cooling off in the Gulf or Sound. Those lucky enough to have a hotel on Pensacola Beach careen their necks off their balconies, all to watch the death-defying acts and thrilling aerobatics of the Blue Angels and the opening acts.

In this issue of Splash, we offer many ways to enjoy Northwest Florida, including ways to make your next fishing trip more productive, and how to spend your evenings enjoying live entertainment that suits your mood.

You can even learn a little something this summer by attending one of the many free programs at the national seashore.

Have a great month, and thanks for reading Splash Magazine.
