Seville Quarter celebrates 40 years of 'good times' By Hannah Bunning Special to Splash!
Seville Quarter's Rosie O'Grady's Goodtime Emporium was established in 1967 by Robert J. Snow - and it's time to celebrate 40 years of good times!
Starting with Evenings in Olde Seville Square from 7-9:15 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9, Seville Quarter will bring the Dueling Pianos and Mike Quinn to the Seville Square gazebo for an evening of premier entertainment. Combined with the 20th anniversary season of Evenings in Olde Seville Square, concertgoers can expect a big birthday bash that is fun for the whole family. This concert is sponsored by Seville Quarter.
Rosie O'Grady's and Seville Quarter started out as a warehouse location for Dixieland Jazz and revelry, and has now expanded to include six more rooms of entertainment, ranging from a billiard room to an oyster bar, and even a place for high energy dance music.
The Goodtime Emporium is keeping the party going for two weeks! Rosie O'Grady's 40th Birthday Gala will take place on August 16 from 5-9, and will include a birthday cake and a variety of musical entertainment.
Throughout the month you can look forward to a 40th birthday happy hour, an employee reunion, dixieland jazz brunch, Pensacola Federation of Musicians 60 Anniversary Jam, and to close the celebration, a night of Jazz Gumbo.
Many area couples have met on the dance floor of Phineas Phoggs, or exchanged that first significant glance through the flames of a hurricane beverage. Take advantage of this month's celebrations to return to your old haunt or drop by for the first time!
