Beach prepped for Bushwacker Fest

Dash Rip Rock (pictured), The Molly Ringwalds and The Velcro Pygmies are set to headline the Bushwaker and Music festival.
The 21st Annual Famous Bushwacker and Music Festival will be Aug. 3, 4 and 5 at Capt -N Funs on the beach.

Along with plenty of the famous frozen concoctions the festival will feature performances from the following: The Velcro Pygmies, The Molly Ringwalds, Dash Rip Rock, Rumor Mill Band, Glamour Kill, Good Foote Band, Mainstreet Band and Clark & Company.

David Allan Cole at Flounders

Singer/songwriter David Allan Coe, of "Take This Job and Shove It" fame, is scheduled to perform at Flounders on Pensacola Beach Saturday, August 4.

Purify at Bands on the Beach

Nashville meets Motown at Bands on the Beach from 7- 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 7 at the Gulfside Pavilion. During this weekly concert series, Bobby Purify will get the party started with his "can't sit still, get up out of your seat" R&B followed by Kyle Parker's goodtime southern rock and country.

Bands on the Beach continues Tuesday, Aug. 14 with Mr. Big., Clark & Company Aug. 21 and the Fort Morgan Slammers Aug. 28. For a complete schedule of events, go to www.visitpensacolabeach.com
