Drowsy Poet offers haven in the storm for shoppers

The literature-based theme was a collaborative effort of owners Bill and Heidi Nadolny, manager Heather Murray and a few friends and family.

The feeling of coffee with class is defined by a handsome ebony player piano that puts out an eclectic mix of live music, a cozy seating area with leather chairs, round café tables strewn with poetry quotations, and a long service bar with brick, inlaid wood, and beautiful hammered copper. The aroma of the coffee enveloping you comes to life with a large flat screen TV that silently depicts the growing, picking, washing, drying, selection, roasting and brewing that bring these specialty coffees to you.

The menu offers delicious fair trade and organic drip coffees from around the globe; al natural fruit smoothies which you can customize with healthy additions; lattes, mochas, and other espresso drinks prepared by trained baristas who serve it up with plenty of crema and often some gorgeous latte art!

The poetry theme extends to the menu with the drinks cherished by regulars: the Poetchino, a frozen blended drink in a variety of flavors made with whipped cream; a list of signature drinks named after poets like Shakespeare, Milton, and Poe; and the exclusive Keats, a mouth-watering drink from the Amazon.
