The magical holiday season is here!
Tinsel, glitter and twinkling lights herald the arrival of the holiday season along the Gulf Coast.
Another consecutive year without a major storm gives added cause to celebrate the magic of the season, hauling out yards of garland, stringing lights, venturing out to attend choral performances and perhaps even lending our voices to the familiar carols.
At the center of it all, we celebrate the birth of Jesus by giving gifts and planning occasions to be together with family and friends, either at parties or gathered around a board game.
At this time of year, we also make our plans to celebrate the beginning of the new year ... 2008!
It's also time to pause and reflect on the year gone before us, remembering our successes and hoping to learn from our mistakes, starting over with a blank slate in the light of a brisk new year.
