Enjoy an 'uncommonly good' season with Destin Commons
Destin Commons rings in a new Christmas tradition with "Norman Rockwell Holidays"

Every Tuesday and Thursday in December, Holiday Nights & Lights Concerts will occur at 6 p.m. in the Center Plaza! Catch the Holiday spirit and enjoy the sounds of the season performed by area church and school choirs. Visit www.DestinCommons.com for schedule.
America's favorite artist, Norman Rockwell, branded the American Christmas tradition with his nostalgic art gracing the covers of Saturday Evening Post magazines for over half a century...

Destin Commons is ringing in the season this year with a remarkable transformation to unveil a nostalgic and memorable "Norman Rockwell Holiday" throughout the center.

Destin Commons is the only shopping center in the country that has been granted the rights to this unforgettable Holiday display.

The Holiday décor is all brand new at Destin Commons and reflects a Norman Rockwell theme throughout - from the decorations on the magnificent 50' Christmas tree with interactive light shows choreographed to Christmastime favorite songs; a brand new Santa station; to lights twinkling up and down Main Street; Holiday street lamp banners and vignettes. Both interactive and educational, the Norman Rockwell vignettes are life-size, dimensional and narrate stories about the famous artist.

RIGHT: 4th Holiday Doggy Fashion Show will (bow) wow the crowd on Sat., Dec. 8. Registration is noon - 1:30 p.m. and Doggy Fashion Show follows at 2 p.m. in Destin Commons Center Plaza. Bring the family dog to Destin Commons to strut their stuff on the Doggy Red Carpet in their favorite holiday outfit. Get your pet's picture taken with Rudolph and Frosty, or a cartoon caricature by Deano. Don't have a dog? Then bring the kids and come out as a spectator - it's a howling good time to see these costumed dogs of all breeds "modeling".
Bringing art and culture to Destin has not been overlooked by the center. A free museum exhibit of Norman Rockwell's Saturday Evening Post cover art will be on display throughout December. The museum exhibit will also showcase "Painting in the Commons" where children can come in, sit down at an easel with paper and crayons in hand, and create their own masterpiece to take home.

"We are so excited to be introducing our spectacular, all new "Norman Rockwell Holiday" theme this year," commented Destin Commons' director of marketing, Mary Kathryn Wells. "Preparation has been underway for months to give our shoppers a unique Holiday experience that will live in their memory forever."

This is the most unique and memorable Holiday experience in Northwest Florida, or should we say in the country - definitely a must see.

Bring the kids down for a special visit with the Destin Commons Santa. Don't forget your camera to capture a memorable Holiday moment in Santa's brand new Norman Rockwell Santa station and the Norman Rockwell Holiday nostalgic Christmas tour throughout the center.

Destin Commons is located in the heart of Destin and the corners of Highway 98 and the Mid Bay Bridge Road. For a complete schedule of Santa times, choir performances and other Holiday events, visit DestinCommons.com, or call
