2008 offers a new slate
Many of us have regrets and wish we had the "undo" button to use on some aspects of our lives.
However, many of our mistakes made us better people in the long run. The rude comment we made within earshot of the person can lead to an interaction that ultimately leads to friendship, for example. The road less traveled makes all the difference, to paraphrase the poet.
A new year may not let us go back and change anything, but it gives us the opportunity to start again on the right foot ... giving up that nasty habit, promising to become more charitable, finding the strength to stand up for what is right, even if it is unpopular.
We hope you'll make reading Splash Magazine a part of your new year.
In this issue, we tell you how to get the most out of Mardi Gras season. A long tradition in Northwest Florida, Mardi Gras is expanding and there are more opportunites to enjoy balls and parades than ever before. And with Fat Tuesday falling on February 5, the good times get rolling early this year.
We also welcome Snowbirds, our winter visitors, to Northwest Florida.
Keep Splash handy so you don't miss a thing!
