Tour the renovated Hopkins Boarding House in North Hill

The tour includes lunch at the former Hopkins House. Pensacola's Historic North Hill Preservation Association's Spring Tour Event is a Hopkins House Celebration. Come for a tour down memory lane and see the unveiling of the restored Pensacola landmark, 900 North Spring Street, or most fondly known as Hopkins House, now the family home of Don and Elise Gordon.

Many locals remember it for the rocking chairs on the wraparound porch, of course removing your hat, and allyou can eat southern cooking served around a table where you were most likely seated with perfect strangers. Along with a tour, the Hopkins House famous fried chicken, two side dishes and sweet iced tea will be served on the grounds, Saturday, April 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday, April 27 from 12 noon. to 5 p.m.

The event honors and celebrates the spot that began as a boarding house in 1951, and served patrons until 2004, and now is lovingly and authentically restored. Luckily for us, the rent included a scrumptious, family-style, southern meal.

The advance purchase price for the tour and lunch is $18 for adults and $10 for children (ages 10 and under) or $20 for adults and $12 for children on the day of the event.
