Walk into Winterfest

2008-12-01 / Happenings

Winterfest is Pensacola's favorite holiday celebration. The tours and performances light up beautiful Downtown Pensacola from Historic Seville to the Palafox Business District. This year, Winterfest offers six exciting tours for the whole family, including a special Santa's Express Tour that's great for young children, and our flagship Performance Tour featuring 14 fun stops with your favorite holiday characters.

All of the tours begin in Plaza Wonderland, a lovely historic park, which is filled with holiday cheer — Get your photos with Santa Claus, enjoy tasty treats at the Gingerbread House, and take a ride on Santa's Little Choo Choo.

Winterfest Performance Tour

Winterfest's premier tour features 15 performances along a 45-minute trip through Downtown Pensacola. Singing guides accompany you into a world of wonder featuring scenes from your favorite holiday memories, including Elvis, Rudolph, and the Grinch! Performance Tours run Nov. 28 and Dec. 6, 12, 19, 20, and 21. $16.50 for adults and $12.50 for kids 10 and under.

Victorian Holiday Stroll

See the best of the Seville neighborhood on a brisk evening stroll — you can even bring your pup! Neighbors compete to decorate their houses for the season, and the tour will stop by a few performances featuring great holiday characters. This one-hour walking tour is a great way to see the neighborhood up close with one of the talented tour guides. Songs and stories make the evening extra-special! Walking tours run every night of the Performance Tours. $9 for adults and $5 for kids 10 and under

Horse and Buggy Tours

Nothing puts you in the holiday mood quite like a trip in a charming buggy. This 20- minute tour is the perfect way to start an evening for couples or families. Take along a cup of hot chocolate or cider and snuggle down under the blanket for a romantic view of the beautiful historic village. Buggy tours run every night of Winterfest. $20 for adults and $12 for kids 10 and under.

Santa's Holiday Express Tour

Take a jolly trip with Santa from Plaza Wonderland through highlights of the holiday season. This 30-minute tour is especially great for young children and out-oftown guests. Santa rides every night December 22 through Christmas Eve. $10 for adults and $6 for kids 10 and under.

Frosty's Holiday Lights Tour

Treat yourself to a lovely view of the downtown decorations after a hectic Boxing Day! Frosty tours feature songs and stories of the holidays, holiday lights, and relaxing good cheer. This 25-minute tour is the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of gift returns and exchanges, from Boxing Day through December 28. Cost is $10 for adults and $6 for kids 10 and under.

Rudolph Caroling Tour

Jingles of holiday joy will brighten the early holiday nights as Rudolph leads his fans in song. This 25-minute tour is the perfect way to wrap up a day of festive holiday shopping in Downtown Pensacola, Nov. 29, Dec. 5, and Dec. 13. Only $10 for adults and $6 for kids 10 and under.
