Nicole Kidman, Urban expecting first child
by Cindy Elavsky

Q: I hope I speak for a lot of people when I say that I am sick of always seeing Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes in the news. Please tell me how my favorite couple, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, are doing. Is it true that she is pregnant?

- Tanya T., via e-mail

A: After dodging the rumors for quite a few months, Nicole and Keith's representative has confirmed that they are expecting their first child together later this year. After suffering two miscarriages with former hubby Tom, Nicole and Tom decided to adopt Isabella, now 15, and Conner, 12. The Urbans couldn't be more excited - and I couldn't be happier for them. There also are rumors that Katie is pregnant with her second child, but since those are just rumors, and you are sick of hearing about Tom and Katie, we'll save that for another column.

Q: I have seen three versions of "Little Lord Fauntleroy," but liked the version with Ricky Schroder and Alec Guinness best. Is it available on DVD?

- Diane K., Mesquite, Nev.

A: Many people regard Ricky (now "Rick") and Sir Alec's 1980 version of this classic children's movie to be the best of the lot, and I can't say that I disagree. This version originally aired on CBS, and is available on VHS, but not on DVD. Also, the VHS is out of print, so if you want to own your own copy, you'll have to fork over $20 to $30 for one on eBay and other auction sites. Good luck!

Davis
*** Q: Whatever happened to Paige Davis, who used to be on "Trading Spaces"?

- Brenda H., Virginia

A: After leaving "Trading Spaces" in 2005, Paige went on to play Roxie Hart on Broadway in the musical "Chicago." She also wrote the book, "Paige by Paige," which chronicled her television experiences. You're not the only one who misses seeing her on a regular basis. In November, TLC announced that Paige would be back as the host of "Trading Spaces" in January 2008. So, as you're reading this, she is probably already back on the show. Yay for the higher-ups listening to popular demand.

Q: I was wondering what happened to the ventriloquist who had a puppet he called "Madame"? I can't remember his name, but he was ahead of the times. Sometimes people thought he was a bit "raw," but I thought he was good. - Marge E., Cape Coral, Fla.

A: Wayland Flowers was the mastermind puppeteer behind "Madame." He passed away in 1988 from cancer. Wayland's estate, which included Madame, was left to his manager, Marlena Shell. Madame was revived by Joe Kovacs in 2006 with the show "Madame: A Comeback From Abroad." Madame and Joe have played shows since, and also have a few shows in North Carolina scheduled in April and June of this year.
