RunWI LD for the Zoo
In case you haven't heard, The Zoo Northwest Florida is in dire financial straights. Come out and run wild to raise money for The Zoo.
Navarre Rotary Club's Running Wild for the Zoo is a 5K run to raise money for one of Northwest Florida's best educational and recreational resources. There will also be a one mile Fun Run for those who can't make the 5k run but still want to help The Zoo.
The run will take place on Saturday, April 5. The 5K run begins at 8 a.m. and the one mile run follows at 9 a.m. It starts at the public parking area on Gulf Boulevard.
Registration fees for the run are $20 for 5K until March 24; $25 from March 25 till race day; and $10 for the one mile fun run. Registration closes on April 4 at 12 p.m.
The first 300 5k participants will receive a t-shirt. T-shirts may be purchased by fun run participants. Packet pick-up is Friday, April 4, 1 to 5 p.m. at Navarre YMCA, and day of race at public parking area on the beach.
Participants can register online at ACTIVE.com. Come out and show your support for The Zoo, and test your endurance in the process.
