'Come pass a good time' at the Crawfish Festival
For those who don't care for Cajun or spicy foods there will be plenty of other festival favorites such as hamburgers, funnel cakes, jumbo corn dogs, lobster tail, and beef shish kabobs.
The 24th Annual Pensacola Crawfish Festival will be held in historic Bartram Park May 2, 3 and 4, 2008.

This event will feature more than 15,000 pounds of boiled crawfish in addition to other traditional Cajun and Creole fare such as red beans and rice, crawfish pie, crawfish po-boys, boudin balls, and even fried gator tails.

The crawfish vendor is Mike Hefner of Mike's Crawfish Boils from Duson, LA. Look for local favorites Cajun Specialty Meats and Zea who will be bringing their delicious menu to the Festival. For those who don't care for Cajun or spicy foods there will be plenty of other festival favorites such as hamburgers, funnel cakes, jumbo corn dogs, lobster tail, and beef shish ka bobs.

In addition to excellent Cajun and Creole dishes, the festival will present authentic Louisiana Bayou Country and Zydeco entertainment. Guests will enjoy Hadley Castille and the Sharecroppers Band, The Bayou Boys and a newcomer to the line-up, Big Red & the Zydeco Playmakers. The Bacardi- Three Olives Entertainment Tent will also be the site of the 3rd Annual CAT Country Crawfish Eating Contest. Check the entertainment schedule for registration and preliminary round times.

The fee is $5 per person...with a limited number of entries available....so register early! Each day a Grand Prize will be awarded!

On Saturday and Sunday, the Family area will delight kids of all ages. NASCRAW Races, face painting, games and arts and crafts will be held throughout the day.

Handicapped parking available with an approved handicap tag at Fountain Park parking lot, which is located across the street from Bartram Park. Admission is $5 daily or $10 for a weekend pass for adults, children under 12 free.

Dates and Hours: Friday, May 2, 5 p.m.-10 p.m.

Saturday, May 3, 10 a.m.-10 p.m.

Sunday, May 4, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Tickets Available at the BB&T Festival Admission Gate or in advance at BB&T Locations or the Fiesta of Five Flags Office.
